The Rayne Memorial Colostrum Bank is up and running!

Through the generous donations of the Rayne Memorial Auction we have been able to set up a proper colostrum bank at Deerpath, complete with a dedicated freezer, supplies and testing equipment.

Here for the breeders, and managed by Deerpath Breeding and Development, this service provides an alternative to plasma transfusions for young foals at risk immediately after birth.

To date, the Colostrum Bank has been instrumental in giving 3 foals a great start to life.

Ask how you can help by donating colostrum from your foaling mare (after her own foals needs are addressed of course).
